This medium-sized family business offers professional personalized service with great price you can not find anywhere else in town. During our 3 week holiday, we rented 2 campervans with them. Both vehicles were well-maintained and we had no problems at all on the road. I am particularly impressed with their flexible arrangement in pickup and drop-off. Inevitably, after 21 days on the road, the vehicles changed a little bit in appearance. I'd like to emphasize to all future customers that this company does not make unreasonable deductions. We drove 10,000 km with our Connoisseur motorhome, from Cape Reinga to Bluff and just about everywhere else. More than 2 months we lived in it and from day 1 on we were very comfortable. We had no prior experience with motorhomes, but we loved every minute of it! The lay-out of our motorhome was exactly what we wanted and needed; lots of space and very well equipped with a heater, air conditioner, TV, DVD player, 4 burner hob, grill, oven, microwave, good size fridge and plenty of storage. On our request, Affordable even built in an iPod connection to one of the radio's! We have had so much fun with the Ford Transit; it drove very easy and had enough strength to tackle every road we took. At one point a gentleman came up to us and asked what sort of engine powered our motorhome because we apparently overtook him and his fancy automatic Mercedes van on an uphill drive earlier that day! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we thank Lynda, Ian and Grant very much for their efficient, pleasant and personal contact and service before, during and after our stay.

We had the opportunity to have enough Rugby World Cup tickets to stay the whole tournament. Affordable gave us the best option for the camper-van rental. The braai/BBQ that was included in the rental made lots of Boks supporters we met jealous. A nice personal touch! Driving in NZ went very smoothly, perhaps helped by the All Blacks and Kiwi on the dash(board)!
We travelled close to 2000k's from Christchurch to Greymouth via Arthur's Pass to the Glaciers, down to Queenstown and Milford Sound and back to Christchurch and various other places along the way. The camper van that we hire was comfortable and very easy to drive, it was economical and did not miss a beat.
The service we received from your company Affordable Motor Homes was excellent from the first contact with you when we were organizing our holiday to the end of our holiday.
Service forms the basis of all good and well run business's and we are sure your business will prosper and continue to grow with the friendly and upfront honesty that you have provided us and others I am sure.

We recently had our first campervan holiday in NZ where we picked up a 6 berth Affordable Motorhome in Christchurch and travelled down the South Island to our skiing destination in Queenstown. We did a lot of research before booking with a company and after discussions with Lynda at Affordable we were convinced this was the way to go. Nothing was ever too hard for them, their service was outstanding, always helpful and informative.
The van ran very well and always started despite being snowed in one morning!
The van was well equipped for a comfortable holiday, thanks heaps for the extra heater! Have no hesitation in recommending Affordable to anyone who would venture that way

We have just returned from a week in the South Island and would like to pass on our sincere thanks to the team at Affordable Motorhome Rentals in Christchurch!
We rented a 2000 Economy series, 6 berth motorhome - and it was fantastic! Comfortably fit 2 adults and our 4 children - and we will never rent a 'car' again - Travelling was so much easier in the motorhome!! Fully equipped with linen, plates, towels, fridge, oven, heaters, tv etc and - I KID YOU NOT - FUEL EFFICIENT!!!! This motorhome is cheaper to run than our car, and does more kms!! The motorhome was easy to drive and ran perfectly!
My advice is 'don't be fooled into paying more at another company thinking you are getting a better motorhome, these are brilliant, well maintained, fully equipped, affordable and the service won't be beaten! My sincere thanks to you Lynda and the rest of the team - you are wonderful! You made everything simple, looked after us extremely well and accommodated all our needs!

We can't say enough about our wonderful experience. We put over 1300 miles on our very comfortable motorhome. The vehicle ran very well and was mechanically sound throughout. It was nice to always know we could reach you with a toll free phone call if we had questions or concerns. Lynda was absolutely fantastic to work with to arrange for pick-up and drop-off of the camper. Our boys were so taken by our coach that you can see from the photo that they did not want to give it up. I am an air line pilot and have already told many of my co-workers of your fantastic operation. Thank you for helping to make New Zealand a trip of a lifetime.

I've been very pleased with your friendly services :the motorhome was very practical and easy to drive even on gravel roads and it was also very economical (low consumption of diesel). When the battery (for the fridge )packed up it was changed at once at the nearest town and paid at once by your company.Your rental rates were also very competitive.

We spent 3 weeks in our Affordable Motorhome and had a great time. We picked up the van in Christchurch, saw a good deal of both South and North Island, spent a week building a house in Tuakau with Habitat for Humanity and never had a moment's problem. We chose Affordable because other people online had said it was a helpful family-run business and we found that to be true. Lynda was very good before the trip in giving advice about our itinerary and making ferry reservations. The sleeping mats were comfortable and everything we needed was supplied. We even asked for and got an extra duvet for the cold nights with no charge. Once on the road, we found a small window scratch that we had not noticed at the inspection. I emailed Lynda and she noted it as not our fault. When we checked out in Auckland, the note was there and the entire process took less than 10 minutes. We will definitely go back to Affordable if (when) we go to New Zealand again.

After searching the Net for a Campervan we found Affordable Motorhome Rentals. Quality, price and service were the things we we were looking for. After our 5 weeks trip we can say AMR offers that all. Our Campervan Ford Transit Deluxe 2001 was an excellent choice. The service in Auckland from Ian and Jeanette was superb. The van was big enough for 2 persons and we enjoyed doing the roadtrip. Thank you for making our holiday unforgettable.

We found the service and campervan provided by Affordable Motorhome to be very good. The ability to collect the van at one location and leave it at another was a huge help.
The van was in good condition and served us well during our 4000 km trip around both the North and South islands. Accommodation was comfortable and we had all amenities to hand, on which full instruction was given beforehand.
All in all Affordable Motorhome helped to enhance a wonderfully memorable holiday in New Zealand. We look forward to doing so again sometime.

Absolutely unique service with an absolutely beautifully presented motor home. Five star luxury. We were to arrive in Christchurch Mon 01 May after a routine 3 hour flight from Coolangatta Gold Coast arriving Christchurch 2.25PM to pick up our pre booked Affordable motor home. Regrettably our incoming Freedom air flight had a birds trike inbound and caused cancellation of our flight. We would be flown to Sydney Jetstar then an eight and a half wait at Sydney airport before an AirNZ flight to Christchurch arriving and through customs around midnight.
Freedomair let us contact Affordable on their phone to advise them of the late timing with a couple of upset holidaymakers. No problem for Affordable Motor Homes. They positioned the motor home at Amber Park RV park with the heater on and beds made up and would contact us next day for handover. What an absolutely unique wonderful service. Boy was that a comforting feeling amongst the turmoil.
After an 18 hour extremely long flying waiting day we arrived at Amber Park approx 1 am with a sign at the office advising the position of our motor home. When we entered the cosy warm motor home we were blown away. The beautifully made up bed with first class linen and the most beautiful Doona and blanket we have ever seen awaited us.
Believe it was done by one of the company principles Lynda and her daughter. After a wonderful sleep we were on schedule next day for our holiday, no time lost thanks to Affordable's unique service, you're a precious customer not a commodity.
The 2 berth deluxe motor home was our choice of rental and again pristine interior decor with plush velvet curtains beautiful linen very thick foam mattress and the amazing heater exchange system unique to Affordable just made our stay so wonderful.
After sadly returning this wonderful motor home back Affordable drove us to Christchurch airport, again just part of their absolutely wonderful service.
We look forward to again hiring an Affordable motor home on our next trip, absolutely. Additionally we recommend Affordable to any hirer if you enjoy luxury reliability and personal service over and above the rest all provided by this family company.
